February 18, 200620 yr I added an additional second monitor after I had built and set up my PC. After I noticed that there was no output on the second monitor I checked "Extend my Windows Desktop onto the Monitor" in Desktop/Properties/Settings. That's what I have now, and I can drag screens between monitors, including icons on the desktop and programs. One monitor is set up better for typing (close to keyboard), the other is better for a front screen of FS9.Then I heard about nView. I have an nVidia 6600GT, and found how to invoke nView from another helpful post here. My question: Do I leave the check in Desktop/Properties... to extend my desktop to the second monitor, or does nView replace that and achieve the same another way?And which options do people use to best move FS9 screens or views around between 2 monitors?Thanks- Bruce. February 24, 200620 yr Hi Bruce,Here is what I do.Right click, select properties, settings, advanced, select your 6600 tab, and the first option on the following menu will be Nvidia display mode. Choose horizontal Span. (I am writing this from memory siince I am not on my FS comp now-please correct me me if I missed a step)Oh yes after you do that go back to properties and settings and drag the picture of monitors to represent what your actual layout is (i.e. one on top of the other or next to each other etc..)Tha should extend your view to both monitors. I run FS in undocked (windowed?) mode to resize the screens.Hope this helps,, but also check here.http://www.geocities.com/fsbobby/If you need more help let me know.Robert
February 24, 200620 yr Author Thanks for the info and link Robert. The more I'm starting to do with 2 monitors, the more I wonder how I ever managed before without both of them :)Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
