Please help me find the "best" FF-Stick!

Featured Replies

Hi all!As stated abov, im looking for a new FF-Joystick. I'm actually using the throttle of saitek's X-52 system with their "cyborg evo force" stick. I "disabled" the physical centering spring and really LOVE the "uncentered" feel of that stick (no more triming problems ;) ). I had fun for about two weeks and now the ruder axis stopped working. It's only working when twisting left, the right-twist-side doesn't seem to be recognized anymore. As a result, the stick can't center itself correctly and I'm always steering left! :(Since I had similar problems with my other 3 (!) saitek sticks (other axis were affected but similar problem) I would like to try another companies products. The only FF-Stick developers (other than saitek) I could find are logitec and thrustmaster. So here are my questions:1. Is there another company producing FF-Sticks?2. In the reviews of the logitec stick I read, there is a big "deadspot" with no forces applied in the center position. This seems to be the case with all FF-Sticks. Is this "deadspot" at the logitec stick bigger then at the other FF-Sticks?3. In my opinion the saitek FF-Stick is quite "weak"! Are there other sticks that are stronger than the saitek?4. I couldn't find a single review of the thrustmaster FF-Stick. It doesn't even seem to have a name, they just call it "Force Feedback Joystick". Maby there's someone who would like to share her/his experiences with that one?!5. And finaly: The saitek FF is always active, thats quite anoying when using the autopilot and the stick is jumping around at the desk. Are there FF-Sticks out there, that can be deactivated, or that deactivate them selves when releasing em?!Wow... that was a whole lotta text. You may have noticed, that I'm not a native english speaker. I hope my english wasn't too anoying! :-hah Thanks alot for your time and greetings: DocNobby
