HDD Failure?

Hello,Last night I was running my anti-virus software (AVG Free Edition) on my system and there was a power failure in my area and the scan was abruptly interrupted.Now, everytime my system (Windows XP) boots it says is has to run Checkdisk on partition D: (where my FS9 folder is :-( )It detects no errors or bad sectors but keeps checking at every boot...What should I do?Is there a way to stop Checkdisk from running at boot? (besides pressing ESC? ;-) )Thank you in advance.

To disable checkdisk on boot (permanently)1. Start - run - then type regedt32.exe2. goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession Manager3. Change the BootExecute from " autocheck autochk * OODBS "to just " autocheck autochk * "Exit the registry and reboot, now after this you should not get a disk check..However you might best backup your fs too, you never know with ms$
