AGP card, need help.

I have an agp card, an ati radeon x800 xt pe, I want to upgrade the processor and motherboard, but most boards that support my new processor have only pci slots. It would be great if I could have my video card converted to pci, is this possible and how is it done? And could an agp card use a pci slot? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It can be done using an ATOP card, they are being sold here in Japan for about 20 to 30 USD howver they are only for Nvidia cards. So your better of when getting a mobo like an Asrock dual which has both an AGP and PCIe slot on it.

I've used both types of cards in this board and they both run smoothly. It's perfect if you don't want to go to a dual card, or quad SLI capable system. It should accomidate single card SLI setups such as the 7950GX2 and future dual core ATI cards, in case you want to go that route in the future. If you want an Intel Core2 Duo system, take a look at the ASRock 775Dual-VSTA. It's essentially the same board but its for Intel Socket 775 processors.
