TOTALLY NEW MACHINE QUAD CORE?

Hi friends, i'm contacting you this time, 'cause I'm thinking to buy a very totally new machine.I'm looking foward to buy this machine, but I want some help from you telling me all about this new configuration.I need to know if you thing with this new machine, if I would like to run FS9, i will get very good performance? graphics? soft flight? etc...The new machine will be:2 XFX nVidia GeForce 8600GTS Extreme 256MB 720MHz 2DVI/HDTV HDCP PCI-Express 1 Western Digital WD1500AHFD 150GB SATA 10k rpm 16MB Hard Drive W/Crystal-Clear Lens 1 STT DDR2-800 2GB/128x8 CL5 Memory 1 GIGABYTE GA-N650SLI-DS4 Core 2 Duo/ nForce 650i SLI/ DDR2-800/ IEEE1394/ A&GbE/ ATX Motherboard 1 Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 2.4GHz 1066MHz 8MB LGA775 EM64T CPU, RetailI just read recently that FSX does not support Quad Core, It's true?. I'm Thinking to run FS9 & Win XP, can I do it?Please fell free to help me, to have a better close idea about that.Always gratefully in advance for your help!!!Gaston.

Should be fine, however fs9 does not support SLI, so i don't know if you run any other games the use SLI, if you don't, for fs it's a waste. As for FSX apparently SP1 fixed the core issues, and it will utilize somewhat of the 4 cores, however be aware that other than FSX there isn't alot of other software out that does uses it yet.

MMmmmmm, ok, thank you for your response.Then you think the machine will be ok? what kind of video card i need. I mean what will be one of the best video cards fr that machine configuration and FS.You tell me FS does not support SLI, so what you recomend me to buy and FS9 and quad core will be ok?Thank you.

Quad-core for FS9 is a waste since its not utilizing them, for FSX, since SP1 people claim it will benefit from it although again don't expect to see all cores maxed out..IMO better to get a high clocked dual-core, then a lower clocked Quad-Core (my X6800 beats the Quad-Core 6700) As for the GPU, assuming your going to run a high resolution, you can get one of the 8800series since ATI hasn't brought out any DX10 GPUs yet.
