Shots from Whitehorse area...

Recommended Posts

Guest bfindlay

Ok, here are a series of shots taken on a flight seeing expedition from Whitehorse (Yukon Territory), in October. I will post them individually, cause I don't know how to add narration between pictures! If you do, please tell me!THis one is approaching Carcross - about halfway between Whitehorse an Skagway Alaska.

A shot of Carcross area from the ground. I bought the Alaska-Yukon terrain from FSgenesis, and am very pleased with it. The default terrain in FS2k2 doesn't do this area justice, whereas the improved 76m terrain actually does resemble the mountains I see out the window. I can use it for VFR familiarization flights of tight mountain passes etc, BEFORE actually flying them. Very cool.

Shots are fantastic I especially like the one on finals buuuuuuutTom is going to shoot us :-)I must admit to posting mine to encourage other pilots to do like wise, hence I put my shots up here where they would get most attention (to encourage others)But I think I will run and hide now ;-)Peter

Sheesh! The takeoff from Skagway, in FS, is something else! And with bad visibility, forget about it!
