Any recommendations for a flight planning program??

I admit, I'm still using the default flight planner. Are there any decent flight planners out there preferably freeware? Thanks!

Don't have any URLs, but google'll find 'em:Super Flight PlannerNav 3.xFSBuild I really like the NAV 3.x ability to pick a bearing/distance from a navaid and use that as a waypoint. While FSNavigator also does this, it isn't as easy (NAV 3.x allows you to simply type in a bearing and distance, rather than have to pick a point and then adjust the LAT/LONG in FSNavigator)FSBuild is good for building routes bases on standard FAA/ICAO/Jepp nomenclature.Super Flight Planner I haven't used in a while - but it also works pretty well. For building precise flightplans, I generally choose FSBuild to generate the waypoints, NAV 3.x to build the actual flight plan, and then import into FSNavigator for flying the flightplan on those aircraft that don't have their own FMS (the DF737, PIC767, PSS 747/777, etc. all have built-in FMSs to do their own FMS autoflight).Hope this helps

Well I have tried them all and I bought FSNavigator. It is a module so it runs inside of FS2002. Easy to use and many features and has not hit my fr's at all. Here is a link to hacksaws page which gives you some info on 3 of the most popular.http://hacksaws.fsgateway.com/flight_planning.htmBobG

Whenever I am looking/building a new route, I do this.1. Go to www.simatc.com (or a few other flight planning websites that I know) and look up a preferred, real world route.2. Save the filed route in a notepad document that I keep track of all of my routes in.3. Create the flight route in FSNavigator.4. Save the route.5. Export the route into FS2k2 format (.pln) to use in many of my payware FMCs/MCDU.6. Use the FS2k2 to load into FSMETEO.7. Fly!
