Thank you so much! :)Just a few questions:What does "FUEL UPLIFT POLICY FOR THIS SECTOR IS CAT A" mean?I noticed they have 6600 of Mandatory fuel, any idea what that is for? What does the "rmk/altn rjtt FROM PNR 37E80" mean? Thanks again,Nat

One more question if I mayHow do you translate "CRUISE SCHEDULE - CI-80"? On the B744, I know M0.86 is considered High Speed Cruise, and M0.84 (or lower) is Long Range Cruise, with M.085 being sort of "Typical" Cruise Speed. Is there a Mach Speed reference rule of thumb. (i.e. CI 80 = 0.85M or something like that)? Thanks for the helpBob

Bob,I'm not aware of a rule regarding cost indexes and mach numbers. All CRUISE SCHEDULE - CI-80 means is that the crew enter 80 into the Cost Index box in the FMC.

Hi Patrick,Thanks for your reply. I must have been confused. I just assumed the CI related to a "fixed" speed. Some flightplans I've seen don't mention a cruise speed but do refer to a Cost Index and I thought that was determining the speed but I must have been wrong.Bob.PS. Nat, Sorry if I stepped on your question. I can't be sure but I'd guess "CAT A" possibly refers to the base fuel cost differential between the departure and arrival airports but I'm just guessing. I'd bet there are a few people on this forum who could find out for you for sure though.

Thx Steve :)And anyone any ideas what the 6600 of Mandatory fuel is for? Thanks,Nat

I think it's to do with a regulation in the US for having a bit extra contingency fuel or something (45 minutes sounds right to me). Of course correct me if I'm wrong anyone.
