BRAKES!!!!! Stooooooopppppp!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Note the topic. Tis my feeling with a lot of 3rd party software when the brakes do not work.On a recent install I edited the panel and added a hydralic brake guage just to see if it was my controls or if the brakes were even working. They were - about 10 percent :-P Thats not very safe flying. I want that mechanic who changes the brake pads fired.LOL On a serious note, I heard you can change brake pressure somewhere. However I tried both the config file and the air file. Neither had a reference to "brake pressure" or stopping. Is there another entry I need to look for? Even better - am I even looking in the right files?Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

There's a braking factor in the AIR file, under "General Dynamics" that makes for more or less braking effect.

My braking sensitivbities are wonderful. It's just this particular set of aircraft that are having issues. In particular, it's the aircraft included in the "Corporate Pilot" expansion sold by Abacus. I LOVE their aircraft but the brakes are only about 10 - 15 percent effective LOL.

Okay, I looked for "General Dynamics" and found no such entry :-( HOWEVER I found an entry called "Primary Dynamics" and found the entry for "braking Strength". The value was 23750. Uhm, is that good or bad? Going to try an even 32767, which is the highewst possible value, and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the info :-)

I usually set mine about halfway - around 20000. Full braking strength is way too strong - you stop on a dime!-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
