LAGO Twin Otter ?

Recommended Posts

Guest Virtual_Tao

Who has it? What do you think ? I've been to LAGO's website but haven't heard an opinion here or seen a single shot in the Screenshots Forum. I have Eric Dante's twin otter and absolutely love it. Just curious what others think. Thanks a lot. Greg in KAVL.

I've got it, and I love it! There were quite a few well-publicized "teething pains" with this aircraft, and a lot of people were very vocal in their unhappiness with the original flight model. However, true to form, Lago has been steadily working on righting those problems, and have released a 1.10 patch that substantially improves the craft on all counts. The model is outstanding -- a very nice piece of work. And the VC is not to be missed. All in all, I'd say it's one of the finer payware add-ons available right now. Unfortunately, the hoopla surrounding its release will probably scare off a few folks. I think you'll find that if you give it a chance, you'll like it.

Thanks Bill. I probably will buy this plane. I have many LAGO products and I am very happy with all of them. And LAGO's customer service is top notch. I wish they sold cars and homes. I was a bit curious as to the silence on this particular forum regarding the twin otter. Thanks again. Greg in KAVL

I bought it and love it. Bought it on the strength of LAGO's reputation. Like you I have a good many of their products and all of them are top notch and recive good customer service.Be warned, this isn't a push the buttons and fly plane. Very little is done automatically for you. If you like yoke and rudder work its a good plane to purchase. Lots of fun.It can also be system intensive, so keep that in mind when making your decision.Dave Spurlock

Hi Guys,I happened to "fly" the Lagootter this weekend at a friend's. Maybe I'm negative, but I see no personal need for it, as long as You do not care for float or ski devices and opening doors. Personal, I think the nose/cockpit windows look weird, but I may be wrong. For a "plain" otter, the nice free one is a beauty in visuals, and if You visit Barry Blaisdell's site (www.flightsimnetwork.com/premaircraft), You can get a good soundset and panel, too.I cannot comment on the FDE accuracy since I'm no real-world pilot.Other opinions are welcome, especially if You need amphibians.CU, ToMey
