View changes cause speed changes

Recommended Posts

I've purchased the CD version from Just Flight, and upgraded to version 1.7 via their website.Using Radar Contact, PSS A320, and ActiveSky flying LHR-ZRH.During the climb I changed views to see the enhanced clouds. Shift S used. Coming back to the panel view the climb rate had almost leveled off, and the speed had increased. The level off resulted in a busted altitude warning from ATC.This happened several more times whenever the view was changed from the main panel. ( Overhead, Top down view, Shift S)Similar on the descent, with speed increasing to such an extent that we met the ground about 5 miles from the end of the runway at 280kts.I've tried the same flight with everyting except ActiveSky running, and this doesn't happen.Any thoughts?

Raymond,Sorry you are having problems. Try a flight with a default plane and report your findings. I don't own any PSS planes, but maybe another user can help here.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi Raymond,Can you confirm you have FSUIPC set as described, namely the wind smoothing settings? It sounds like your winds are shifting too fast during transitions and that this smoothing option is disabled. Let me know if that was it. Damian,I've checked FSUIPC settings, and have now got the 1 in the lower box for wind smoothing.I tried PIC 767 yesterday instead of the A320, and it was a lot more stable.Frame rates were low though.
