Adam,Got to be a system problem. Can you try a re-install of 1.0, then update to V1.8? Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Adam,Check your Use System Time and UTC time zone conversion values/options. Something is triggering the TAF instead of the METAR, so it sounds like your time processing has gone awry. You can also turn off TAF processing to confirm this (it should go to the METAR no matter what, with the METAR reported vis). Let us know.. Thanks Damian. Sorry for not responding Jim. I appreciate your guys help.I think I've got the UTC set correctly at -5 as I live in Manitoba Canada. We're we supposed to leave the change we made for DST?Thanks and I'll let you know how things work out.Adam

Hi Damian and Jim.I reinstalled v1 and then 1.8 and made sure my UTC was correct. I'm still getting 6sm vis and sometimes less. I tried many many different airports. I also deselected TAF Processing yet I still get TAFs appearing in the main window box with always very low vis. Is there anything else you can suggest? Thanks, Adam

Hi Adam..That is a strange one. Let's try screenshots when this happens with main, status and options screens. Also let me know your time zone and your starting process of wxRE/FS/etc... thanks! Hope to solve this for ya...-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table

Hi Damian. Screenies may be out of the question for this reason: I had a HDD failure and when I got my computer back I no longer had photo602 - my pic program. I can save screen shots with FSScreen, but have no way of changing them to .jpg files. They are all .bmps around 1 + MB. So pic uploading is not a possibility.I've been modifying the metar files by typing changes in and it's working for now. I'll see what I can do about getting a proggie to convert .bmp to .jpg, then I'll post a pic.Anyway, thanks a lot for the superior service.Adam

Hi Adam, You can pick up Irfanview, an excellent utility that will convert .bmp's to .jpg's or vice versa easily. It also handles many, many other formats with ease. Also does batch conversions, resizing, slide shows etc. It's FREE......... I use this utility exclusively anymore and it's the perfect compliment to FSScreen. www.irfanview.com There is also Screen Shooter v1.6 by Dennis Schagen in the avsim library. It allows screenshots in .jpg or .bmp's. I haven't tried it so can't give an honest appraisal/comparison to FSScreen.screenshooter_2.zip Hope this helps you out. :-wave
