Help Please

HI,I have re-installed active sky V1.6 & updated to 1.8 but i am still getting errors & i have not been able to use active sky now since purchasing the product from just flight, it has been one thing or another.I have emailed error screen shots to damien, but to be honest, it has not helped & i am still in the same boat as when i started & i am very dissapointed with the whole thing & feel that my pennies could have been spent on better things.As i mentioned above, i re-installed v1.6(boxed cd ) & followed the instructions in the manual. Now, when i click the "Auto-download/create new", (with internet connection already established)it always says "error or timeout downloading cycle". why does it do this?Other errors i have coming up when in online mode are "cloud layer conflictin metar, skipping transition".Another error i also have in online mode is "No current winds data(03238) trying another station" this seems to just go round in circles & i have to press ctrl+alt+del to end the program.I have re-installed, un-installed & re-installed so many times now & still the same old thing. I have checked the FSUIPC settings & i have the latest version.some help on the above would be appreciated, as paying twenty pounds odd, for a program that does not seem to work, well, its just not on.thanksMike Allen

Mike,1. The public server at times is not reliable. That is the message we all sometimes get.2. Sometimes AS cannot decode certain METAR cloud combinations. It is not perfect. The program is still working though, sending weather data to FS.3. About 2 weeks ago I spent many hours with the 03238 wind station problem. It was concluded that it is still a valid station, but no data was being sent by the station to the NOAA server. When AS tries to download data for that station it comes up blank and that is why the error pops up. If this continues for all users then it may be time to delete that station in the WMO.txt file.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

What ever server my actice sky is trying to connect to must be always down, as i said i have not had active sky working now for a week plus.2. If the program is still working, why can i not use it. Mike..I think I've found the problem..btw there have been over 20 emails sent by me on this (check your logs).. i have really been trying hard to solve your problem! Have spent many hours on this...again, you are the only one having this problem so it is hard to isolate..Anyways.. here's the deal. You are using Just Flight's version, and they are to supply the update for 1.8. The 1.8 should be available on their website any day now. the 1.8 available on the web is for the online version. Hi Damian,Thank you for your time, it is appreciated.I have downloaded v1.8 from just flight, & you will be glad to know it now works fine.I did not know that the v1.8 from your web page would be different from the patch02 on the just flight page, anyway, it has done the trick at last.once again, thanksMike Allen
