'Broken' cloud layers

Recommended Posts

Guest Muppet22

Hi DamianI was wondering if something could be done to the current beta version of wxRE to make a broken could layer more realistic? Obviously, broken cloud is not far off being overcast, yet in FS2002 there seems to be little difference between few, scattered and broken cloud coverage.Hopefully something could be done?:-)

Hi Tom,Agreed the coverages are not accurate in any way.. This is nothing new in this version. Nothing can be done in wxRE - wxRE is at the end of its development cycle - nothing more will be done besides fixing any show-stopping bugs that come up. All development is now focused on AS2. I will consider options for improving on this "issue"...For now, you can increase your cloud density slider to 100% which helps some... You may also want to disable cloud transitions in wxRE. Hope that helps!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table
