Hi all,Beta 7 fixes some more FS2004 NWI interface problems dealing with winds and temperatures. Now transitions should be much more stable and the temps should be accurate. A completely new localized station search system is used to ensure consistent wx through the local station areas.This beta is for any existing wxRE 1.x user. Damian,just reached TOC.Beta 7 seems the most stable so far - nearly as smooth as FS2002 weather.

Hi Damian,I have come across a problem that I have never seen before after installing Beta 7. Each time I install a new beta I do a complete un-install and re-install of the original version plus the beta. I am using registered copies of FSUIPC and WideFS ( latest versions ) and I am running other applications on my client PC without any problems whatsoever, including FSMeteo 6.2.With this version each time I start WXre I get a message dialog stating that, "FS2004 Cannot be found", plus another dialog right afterwards saying that there must be an error in my WXre.ini file.I have tried the remove/install process three times with exactly the same results. I finally went back to Beta 6 and everything is working.Any ideas what may be causing this?DaveVancouver

Dave,From another thread Damian has suggested to install, but do not run, FS04 on your second machine. He is aware of the problem and is developing a fix!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

I found a fix for the beta 7 "cant find fs2004" when run on a networked PC with WideFS.It has been suggested that one install but dont run FS2004/FS9 on the second PC. There's a quicker and more efficient way to accomplish this until a fix is implemented by Damian.Some assumptions:1. Since you are running networked PC's you have some knowledge of networking and Microsoft file sharing.2. You are comfortable with making changes to your registry.3. You either have a secure internal network, or not concerned about turning on file sharing on an internet accessable PC.4. You have FS2004/FS9 installed in the default directory.First make sure you have Micr$oft File Sharing setup on both PC's. Share your C drive on the PC that FS is installed. Next goto your WideFS PC where activesky will be running. Map a drive to to the shared C drive from the FS PC. (I use E, the next available letter after the cdrom). Once those are set, save the file then double click it. You get a dialog box asing whether you want to export the entry into the registry. Choose ok or yes. Next time you start ActiveSky it will pull the FS path from the registry and look for FS on the mapped drive E.DISCLAIMER: I seldom keep up with this forum, I'm here only on occasion. If you do not feel comfortable making the above changes, THEN DO NOT DO SO!!! I can not be responsible for anything that goes wrong. This patch worked for using XP and Win2K with both FS2002 and F2004 on an internal network behind a router and firewall. Your Milage May Vary!!!!!!

Hi, thanks for that tip!Yes the problem is that the Exe Path value of the Flight Simulator9.0 key is not found - this path is used in the new beta to get the weather station list from FS to properly update all wx stations. I will add a manual FS folder option for those running FS on more than one PC.... That fix will be internally tested and then 1.91 will release.
