Will AS2 have winds aloft smoothing capability?

Just wondering if AS2 will be able to facilitate wind smoothing as in AS1.9 with FS2002. The current winds aloft slam bam thank-you maam transitions in FS2004 with any real world weather, including all available add-ons and FS2004's own built in weather downloads, make the sim unflyable for me with real world winds enabled.If AS2 can pull off wind smoothing as well as the added features mentioned, it will be untouchable be any competition and an absolute 'must have' :)

Its one of the FS04 features that we really hoped to improve upon. I know that Damian was working hard on the wind smoothing aspect and that's really all I know.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

I hope so. AS2 will be the most sought after add-on ever for FS2004 if you guys can make wind smoothing work, I firmly believe this. Good luck :)

I am plagued by this problem too... If I understand correctly it is caused by the way FS2004 "blends" the data from weather stations. The problem seems to occur even with FS2004's built in weather.I sure hope AS2 is able to fix this problem. It really causes havoc with the autopilots when the winds aloft instantly shift from headwinds to tailwinds.
