Anyone have this problem?

Hello all - This is probably NOT an AS issue but I'm trying to find the cause of the following problem that started around the time of the latest 1.91 update and is the same with 1.92.It happens on several different a/c including the default lear and 777. Basically - the airspeed will suddenly drop to zero and a few seconds or minutes later will recover. This will happen several times through the course of the flight, generally at random.No, it is NOT the pitot heat but it reacts just like that except that turning the pitot heat on or off before or during the flight has no effect.The only add-ons I've updated are AS and FSUIPC( regged ).I'm trying to track down more specifics as to when and how it occurs but, so far, it seems random - happens in bad weather or clear weather. Ascending or descending.Has anyone run into this?Thanx - Vic Baron

Hi Vic,Yes, this is a known issue...FS2004's icing effects now will block the pitot with any icing level set over "2" (with intensity from 0 to 5).Using DEICE, as strange as it is, helps make the PITOT heat more effective..Make sure to turn off "random icing in clouds" (FSUIPC options) as well to prevent this from happening...Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg

Yup, I've been getting that too. Unfortunately, I haven't had random icing selected (find that in FSUIPC), so I'm not sure it's that. Not a huge problem as you always get it back shortly, but it would be good if we could find the fix. I wouldn't lose sleep over it though at this point.
