Active radar freezes fs9

Looks like a great program and I am looking forward to using it.One small problem-when I click ctrl f12 to bring up active radar-I get the activeradar box-then "initializing activeradar". From that point everything freezes-and control alt delete is the only thing to get me out.I have a single computer with fs9 (and active sky) installed on my second hard disk drive e:.Thanks for any help...http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg

Hi Geof,Hmmm, that's a strange one, not been reported yet. Possibly graphics related. Have you tried turning off render to texture (if on?). Anything else special about your graphics configuration? One other possibility, it has been reported to confict with ActiveCamera's hotkey, if you have that, try changing ActiveCamera's hotkey. Here is what I get. After hitting ctl f12 I get what you see on the screen-then all appears to freeze. If I then ctrl alt del-minimize the sim-then max it again (in 3d window) I get the second shot-and the gauge works-but no flight sim. If I mess with the menu at the top which appears when the mouse goes over it-then I get frozen screen with no gauge showing.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg

I had installed the demo of your "weather center" 3 months ago and forgotten about it-removing all traces of it in the modules folder solved my troubles. Dear Damian and Geof,Active Camera 2004 uses 49 customized keyboard shortcuts (hot keys). Some of these shortcuts may be in conflict with other 3rd party add-ons. The AC2004 user can edit and assign customized hot keys through the built-in graphic interface (available in update 1.1).Kind regards,

I can confirm the freezing behaviour.Active radar loads fine but freezes at some point in every flight. I can get it to freeze by turning on the alt radar render option.ATI 9800 PROP4 3GHz512 RamRender to texture is off.Apart from that I am really please with the view out the window and the options available with AS2004 - you guys keep making this hobby hard to stay away from!Ray Keaatch.

Not only did I uninstall that software, I formatted and re-installed XP :-)I just changed from Nvidia to the 9800 Pro and was getting awful problems so I re-installed. Only software on this PC are XP, FS2004, FSUIPC, WideFS and the Active Radar. 2nd PC is running WideFS and AS2004. About an hour after I finished re-formatting and installing XP, you released AS2004 - thats how fresh the system is :-)As soon as I open the radar (or after a short time), FS2004 freezes or runs at about 1 frame per minute. If I exit the radar, FS carries on as usual. The problem is far worse when using the alternative rendering for the radar.Dell 8300, 800 FSBP4 3GHz512MbATI 9800 ProAudigy 2 sound.Ray Keattch
