Lost of Aircraft power and AS2004

Featured Replies

Since installing AS2004, I seem to have lost power with PMDG aircraft. If I leave AS2004 disable, my PMDG 737 runs fine on taxi, but as soon as I enable AS2004, my plane slows down to a complete stop. I have ran AS2004 before and after launching FS9 but I get the exact saome issue...I haven't tried any other aircrafts because even if they run fine, that does not prove to me that AS2004 is at fault. As we know PMDG 737 is already a complex aircraft so I'm wondeing if there is something conflicting with both...I really wasn't looking for this kind of experience especially since having to wait for PMDG SU2 for soo long..Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated..SYS:ASUS A7N8X v.2/WinXP pro SP1/Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB-Catalyst 3.9 (Omega)/FS9/Corsair 1GB DDR 2700 @333mhz/ AMD 2800 Barton @ 333mhz/ SB LiveThanksTroy

WOW! no replies so far...Anyways, here is what I did...I uninstalled AS2004 and now I taxi and actually fly. However, one other problem, my Saitek45 will not work anymore, i.e., I cannot retract the flaps and therefore, cannot get passed 145 KIAS...Nice, isn't it...I tied recalibrating, reassigning and even reinstalled FSUIPC 3.XXX (latest and registered)..still no fixSoooooo, I went back to a last known good, before the installation of AS2004..Wonderful...now everything works...Oh...BTW, even though I have the registered verison of the previous Activesky, I never used it and always found FS Meteo more friendly...In the main time, I'll continue to use FS Meteo until I get my current problem with AS2004 resolved..I guess now my question is, if I can't get support to see that this works, can I get a refund?...ThanksTroy

Any PMDG users with ideas?JimActiveSky Support

I've asked PMDG...so far, no problems.Troy

I also posted at the PMDG site. I have both AS2004 and the PMDG737 installed and they work perfectly together for me.

As you can imagine after the SU2 PMDG plane was one of the elected planes that testers used with AS2004.You say you couldn't taxi but why can't you taxi? Ususally my sequence is:Start FS, cold and dark PMDGStart AS2004.Go and do something to allow AI to start moving;Start the flight; In what step does PMDG stop to respond in the startup sequence?Jos

I have had only one incident with AS2004 and PMDG. One time I had the engines started and was pushing back when I realized I forgot to load the flight plan into AS2004. So I switched over to AS2004, loaded the flight plan and AS2004 refreshed the weather. I then switched back over to FS9 and the engines cut out. I had to start the APU again, then tried to restart the engines but they would not. Fuel switches were still on, cut-off switches were still on. I tried toggling the fuel cut-off switches on the throttle from on to off and back on. Then the engines would start. Once started they never shut off again during taxi or flight.I chalked it up to a fluke but now I'm not so sure. I have not tried this again since to see if I could replicate the problem consistently.Keith

So you want a refund? Please give us a chance, Troy!First, this is the first such report of such a problem. Upon re-installing AS2004 now your "speed limiting" problem has been solved but you have no Saitek buttons working? Is the problem here an FSUIPC issue? Have you confirmed that your settings are all correct here? Do you have the registered FSUIPC version and are you using the special joystick features?-Damian

Damian,I was a bit hard on you guys in the beginning...Sorry about that..Had a real stressful week...Anyways, here is the scoop...I did not have a chance to reconfigure anything and at this point, I don't think I have to. I reinstalled AS2004 along with the new FSUIPC update and the latest Radeon driver update..I started AS2004 and setup everything as mentioned in the manual. I then launched FS9 and set things there. I then selected my PMDG 737 aircraft and everyhting was working smoothly..Now, what was more impressive was the weather..Absolutely amazing..So far I have unbelievable smooth weather transmission, unlike some others here in the Forum..I took a flight from Boise Id, (my home) to KLAX and all I can say is, this is one awesome peice of work you have put together...The overcast cloud, rain and fog were right on cue as it is in Boise today...I just want to say thanks for the program and keep up the good work...Happy HolidaysSYS:ASUS A7N8X v.2/WinXP pro SP1/Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB-Catalyst 3.10 (Omega)/FS9/Corsair 1GB DDR 2700 @333mhz/ AMD 2800 Barton @ 333mhz/ SB LiveTroy
