Thanks for the ID info. Rick looks like those might be drawing from early in the design stages of the C-20G. Seems to be what happened is they dropped the aft window on the port side in favor of an escape hatch. I'm not sure what they have anymore? Are those VR-48 aircraft? Were did you find those pics at? I do know for sure that the one my wife got to fly in out of NAS JAX, did in fact have 6 windows on the port side. Unfortunately I didn't get a look at the starboard side?...Rick Sasala

These are of VR-51's, both of them as well as the Marine C-20G here only have 5 windows port/2 starboard. I flew on one of the VR-48 aircraft and it to only had 5, I was sitting next to the escape hatch, wishing I had a window seat. How to tell the GIV from the GV:It's the size, first of all. Looking at the two on the ramp side by side doesn't come close to comparing. The specs on the IV (400) is Length 88 ft 4 in 26.9 m Height 24 ft 5 in 7.4 m Wingspan 77 ft 10 in 23.7 m and the V (500) isLength 96 ft 5 in 29.4 m Height 25 ft 10 in 7.9 m Wingspan 93 ft 6 in 28.5 m The V SP (550) is the same size as the V but goes a whole lot farther. There is also an extra window on the right side of the 500/550, which can be removed if the owner chooses to have it removed in favor of another application, like if a crew rest area is put in, and they don't want a window, or a second galley is put in, movie viewing area, etc...... Rick, This has been a learning experience for me. Didn't know the USAF had GIV's till yesterday thought they only had GIII's and GV's. That probably what confused me was the windows, as I thought GIV's had 5 and GV's had 6 that's the reason for the visual clue question. I knew there was a size difference, but I have never seen them side by side. The VC-37's (GV) usually go into Hicham AFB, Though on was over here a couple of weeks ago, but as it figures, none of the C-20G's were around. The Navy flys the crap out of them, The 2 here are only like 7 years old and both just went over the 20,000 hour mark this year.:-outtahttp://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/images/675-2fs.jpg

Hornit, Just wondering if you're taking requests for repaints.... In my opinion (whatever that's worth) we need some GIV's with some color... Personally I like the more sedate classy looking paint jobs on the Gulfstream's. Most of them are just mostly white with some simple striping as I have done. However, there are some very cool schemes no doubt. One of the small problems with this model are the way the textures are shared under the wing area and the main gear doors. Once I figure this all out I may do some of these more colorful schemes. Also The resolution for the bitmaps needs to get upped a bit for the more detailed work. I don't use photoshop, just plain old MSpaint. I do a lot of cut and paste, and borrowing from other textures. I am asking a friend who is VERY good at repaints to do some of this for me, so hopefully it will get done. Can't promise anything at this point though.Hornit
