Rick Sasala's G-IV flight model needs help!

Recommended Posts

Hey Gang!I really like Rick's G-IV; the look is very nice and the panel works very well as well. The only negative observation I've made is that the flight model needs to be improved. That thing flies like an F-15 Eagle. Is it possible to tame the beast a little bit?Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullerthttp://www.aavirtual.com/images/aav48_banner.gif[/img]

I didn't care much for the visuals or the dynamics. You might search FLIGHTSIM.COM for GulfStream FDE's. I'm sure they have some...if not for FS2002, for FS2000 which should be compatible.

Both the G-IV and the G-V are very sprightly especially at weights below 66,000 (G-IV) and 72,000 (G-V). Initial rates of climb can and regularly do exceed 4,000 fpm. At very light take-off weights (less than 40% fuel, roughly for both) managed speed mode and an aggressive pitch up to 17.5 degrees is required to keep the bird from punching lower speed restrictions on departure. In addition to the above reply, check the thread a little farther down "GIV some repaints" in particular post #5 by bobg425 (a gulfstream pilot). If you can make it fly better go for it, as we all will benefit...Rick Sasala
