I would have thought the whole picture was genuine. I guess Santa has finished his taxi trials and the FAA has now given him permission for short test flights within controlled airspace. Ig uess even Santa can delegate test pilot duties as well. Peter, any idea how it handles compared to the SF260?

I always loved this joke :-)Santa was on his Bi annual flight revue so as to be current for his Christmas deliveries.Lining up for takeoff the examiner instructed Santa to do yet another takeoff but this time with the Sledge full of Christmas presents and the Rheindeers full of food so that the craft was at grosse weight.Santa cracked his whip and the Rheindeers unleashed all their deer power accelerating to VR.Santa heaved back and lifted off into the night sky.As he passed 500 ft agl the examiner pulled a twelve bore shotgun from under his cloak aimed at the right lead Rheindeer and shot it dead."Right Santa, I want engine failure after takeoff and a single engine circuit to a landing". Said the examiner :-)Peter

Clearly, the sleigh had the right-of-way. Santa had probably already declared an emergency as he is operating with only six of his nine engines. An aircraft in distress has the right-of-way over all other maneuverable aircraft. This poses some questions:(1) Who was Santa's MEI?(2) What lever/switch/valve/knob to you turn to simulate a failure when your engine is a (tiny) reindeer?(3) How do you "feather" a "dead" reindeer?(4) Do you feel Santa has adequate knowledge of Vmc and the implications of such on Christmas Eve?(5) Is the rooftop really a balanced felid for that type? What is the accelerate-stop distance for a fully loaded sleigh?(6) Is the sleigh certified for known icing? Certainly there are no boots nor engine bleed, so I'm guessing it

(1) Who was Santa's MEI? The Dog!(2) What lever/switch/valve/knob to you turn to simulate a failure when your engine is a (tiny) reindeer? Twelve Bore shotgun(3) How do you "feather" a "dead" reindeer? Release its harness and let it fall away.(4) Do you feel Santa has adequate knowledge of Vmc and the implications of such on Christmas Eve? Santa has autoland fitted using the latest technology. It senses vapour fumes from Brandy poured on the Christmas pud.(5) Is the rooftop really a balanced felid for that type? What is the accelerate-stop distance for a fully loaded sleigh?Reindeers up end into the vertical plane and due to a special diet carry a lot of wind. This is directed and expelled verically using the same principles as a Harrier jump jet ;-)(6) Is the sleigh certified for known icing? Certainly there are no boots nor engine bleed, so I'm guessing it
