Just wondering why things do this. I am climbing out in SOLID, non broken overcast layer. I pop through the top and use external view and look behind me to see maybe a scattered layer or maybe broken. But you definatey can see lots of ground. I shouldn't be able to see the ground should I?Thx,Jack

Hi, are you running 100% cloud density? What are your frames set to? Should be locked at around 20 to allow FS9 to draw more clouds. The clouds appear more solid on the ground because you are within the surface visibility layer. Turn on FS9 haze depiction (if not already) - this should render a haze layer to go along with the clouds for better overall coverage.Remember also that just because OVC is reported doesn't mean the entire sky will be overcast. FS9 interpolates conditions from other airports and draws its own picture. Basically, the conditions are only exact for that particular airport within a roughly 2nm radius.Does that help?
