AS2004.5 writing data takes ages

hello there, until today my AS 2004.5 worked absolutely fine, but now it takes ages to write station data to FS2004. a had a look at my AS2004 log file and I found this:Waiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCTimeout waiting for FSUIPC to accept weather writeRetrying FSUIPC write...Wx LOC Write for K0W8- Data Check on Temp/Dew: 11/ 8Waiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPCWaiting for FSUIPC...it takes AS2004.5 about 30 seconds for each weather station to update. I cleared my FSUIPC weather settings (3.40) and set the FS weather theme to "clear". if anyone has an idea why this suddenly happened or what is causing the problem feel free to anwser this thread.thanks a lotregardsNic

Purchased AS2004.5 yesterday and am having the same problem. "writing station data" takes far too long! I havn't been able to use AS becasue it continually is in writing data mode.Question: where do I find the AS2004 log file? I have tried, up dating FSUIPC to 3.41 as deleting ini file as suggested, but till have the problem. Can someone please help.ThanksAston

Hi Aston,Sorry you are having trouble. There is no AS2004log file. It was the FSUIPC log file that was posted. That is not going to tell us much about this anyway.Things to try:See if anti-virus is working while the write is going on.Make sure FS is not paused. What airport is your default? How long does your writing take?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi,Actually recently an AS2004.log file was implemented, and that is what was originally posted...The log is indicating that FS9 is not responding to station writes properly. If you are wideFS you want to make sure you're on the latest version and take a look at your network setup. If not wideFS, there is something else going on...Ideally you should not get any "timeout" messages in the as2004.log file except in certain situations where FS might be busy. In this case one or two timeouts per write session is ok, but not every single write attempt... Indeed you need to make sure that FS is not paused/slewed and that a flight is loaded so FS can accept writes quicker. Please advise of your progress, if you are unable to fix it please give us more details about your setup, other add-ons, etc. Thanks!

It also might help to look at the FSUIPC.LOG file in the modules folder to see if any errors are slowing the system. It is highly recommended not to fly in a speeded up rate of the sim so all the external programs can keep up and similarly FS can absorb the external info.

Tried everything. Disabled my Anti virus software, FS9 not paused, My default airport is PANC, but have used other airports and have same problem. have uninstalled and reinstalled about 8 times now. Same problem. First reinstal fixed the problem, but after I shut down fs9 and restarted it, the problem came back. Please help.

FWIW I had the same error messages when FS9 froze. In my case it was inappropriate cloud textures from High Performance Clouds from FSW. I went back to the v2 collection of 32bit textures after restoring from a saved folder containing all the cloud textures. The other symptom this user described about slow weather writes also occured if I restarted FS9 without a system reboot.Replacement of the cloud textures fixed all. When FS9 crashed on me in the task list parts of it were still running and I suspect FSUIPC was running receiving weather writes but could not write to the weather engine hence the C5 exception errors in the FSUIPC.log. This follows my experience.
