Wind transition problems

Recommended Posts

Guest Totti10

I have problems with wind transitions. When there is some change in wind speed or direction, my IAS rise or fall rapidly and the aircraft (PMDG) starts "sliding" to left or right (it depends on wind direction).I set my FSUIPC (unregistered 3.44) to "minimum weather defaults" and I'm processing my flight plan into my AS2004.5 Where is the problem?

Hi,Please check FSUIPC Wind Smoothing On. Also, FYI, with an Aloft Predictability of zero your FS winds will rarely match the reported winds in AS. Not sure if you knew that! Now, just some other suggestions not related:Supression Ceiling defaults at 4000. Not sure why you set yours at 10000.Global Writes should be False while Auto Global Writes should be True.TAFProcessing should be True. Please give that first one a try and the others are up to you!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Thanks a lot - I'll give a try.But one more question, what wind aloft predictability should I set for most realistic results?
