Recommended Posts

Guest Andrew1981

Hello all, I noticed that the Seoul Incheon (RKSI )Weather Station never Show up , that's the current wx for RKSI:RKSF: 130900Z 34007KT 9999 SCT030 01/M18 A3005 RMK SLP183 8/500 9/300and the TAF:RKSM 130606 31010KT 9999 SCT030 WND 31006KT AFT 10 TM04/22Z T06/06ZWhile at NOAA :RKSI 131000Z 28020KT 9999 FEW030 01/M12 Q1018 NOSIGRKSI 130500Z 130606 29014KT 9999 FEW030 BECMG 1213 30009KT 7000 BECMG 2223 27005KT BECMG 0304 24005KT Are you aware of this problem? If yes do you plan solutions, in the near future ?I also notised stations in Australia with wrong report's (lot's of "///" ) I think the next update of A2004.5 could have a code that checks the consistency of the wx data before sending the Wx to FS . Hi Andrew,Help me out a bit here because I cannot physically check right now. My FS computer is down for a major repair and I cannot access anything. In the AS folder I need you to open and check the weather station file, the airport file and the current weather snapshot file. See if RKSI is listed. So if you sit at RKSI that is the report that AS pulls?The //// is a problem. We adjusted AS when they showed up for the visibility, but now they are showing up for the other data as well. Damian will be around soon and we'll see what he suggests.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

From "Complete_Airport_list.txt" : RKSI,037.860,127.179,328 From : the Weather File (Today at 15z) I read in the First line : RKSI::RKSI 131430Z 30007KT 260V050 9999 FEW040 M00/M09 Q1019 NOSIG::*::305,023,-04.0/316,026,-10.7/320,028,-13.0/328,043,-18.3/332,057,-26.9/332,066,-38.7/330,069,-53.0/326,067,-59.0/305,068,-61.9From the current weather snapshot file:RKSI::RKSI 131430Z 30007KT 260V050 9999 FEW040 M00/M09 Q1019 NOSIG::*::305,023,-04.0/316,026,-10.7/320,028,-13.0/328,043,-18.3/332,057,-26.9/332,066,-38.7/330,069,-53.0/326,067,-59.0/305,068,-61.9while when I request the RKSI Wx info, That's what I get : RKSF 131400Z 26006KT 9999 FEW030 FEW200 M01/M14 A3012 RMK SLP207 8/508 BTW I have B175 installed ,today my internet connection is desperately slow (it's ADSL but the last 24hours is slower than a 28k ! ) but I don't think that's really important !RegardsAndrew Angelopoulos

Andrew,Thanks for your help. That was great information! So as I understand it now: when you want a custom fetch for RKSI you get the other station report. Is this a correct understanding on my part? If you sit a plane at RKSI does the RKSI METAR show up in the current weather station window? I am trying to limit this to a "search" bug or a location "bug".Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi,Here's the entry for RKSI in the complete_airport_list.txt file:RKSI,037.860,127.179,328According to what you show in SHift-Z in FS, this is wrong. Maybe the airport changed locations/IDs? Either way the correct entry should be:RKSI,037.453,126.450,328Please make that change in complete_airport_list.txt for the RKSI entry and let us know if that cures it.. Thanks!!!

>According to what you show in SHift-Z in FS, this is wrong. >Maybe the airport changed locations/IDs? Either way the>correct entry should be:>>RKSI,037.453,126.450,328Nope the airport is relatively new It's open since 2001 , Note that RKSI (Seoul Incheon ICN/RKSI) is the New International Airport While RKSS (Seoul Kimpo GMP/RKSS )is the old International and now is a domestic Airport .>Please make that change in complete_airport_list.txt for the>RKSI entry and let us know if that cures it.. Thanks!!!I did that and It works , ThanksBut One problem stil remain , it seems like there is no TAF for RKSI at NOAA I can find it AS uses the other airport TAF (the regonal one , they are 40nm distant) . I don't know what are the As sources But a Big International Airport as that shouldn't be hard to find .that's the current:wx for RKSI : RKSI 152130Z 09004KT 3800 BR FEW018 SCT030 BKN070 03/00 Q1025 BECMG 3000RKSI 151700Z 151818 06005KT 2500 BR FEW015 BKN035 BECMG 1920 15005KT 1800 FEW015 SCT030 TEMPO 2123 0800 BCFG BECMG 0001 18005KT 3500 FEW030 SCT180 BECMG 0203 23007KT 5000 HZ BECMG 1011 20005KT 3500 BR FEW030 BKN120 the AS2004.5 Wx fetched today at ~16Z RKSI 151500Z 02002KT 3000 BR FEW017 SCT030 BKN100 02/01 Q1023 NOSIG RKSS 151100Z 151212 30005KT 3500 BR SCT025 BKN080 BECMG 1415 17005KT 2800 BECMG 2021 1800 BECMG 0001 21005KT 3500 HZ FEW030 BECMG 0405 26007KT 7000RegardsAndrew Angelopoulos
