Hi,I had a crash-to-desktop yesterday with FS9.1 + AS2004.5 B193 running. This has happened enough times before with no problems afterwards but this time the AS2004.5 module has stopped working correctly:On initial load (FS running), the download and refresh functions the program recognises the current location but then seems to stick at the "....[connecting to HiFi Data Net]...." or "....downloading...." message and does not update the weather. If I then press the download button, the weather loads!? The same happens during flight when the program attempts to refresh but this time the download button has no effect! I don't understand what is wrong as the custom fetch option is still working so I think the connection to the net is ok!!!I have tried re-installing but this makes no difference. Does anyone know what is wrong??? Also, what other modules (obviously FSUIPC) are used by AS2004.5 so I can try re-installing them...Cheers,Geoff

Hi Geoff,Clicking download once download already in progress will cancel the download and use whatever weather file was previously loaded (thus why wx loads and you can fetch)..However, the download is never completing, so something is wrong there.Common reasons: Firewall, antivirus, proxy server? (if so check settings). The MOST common reason is your firewall is preventing access, so you might want to check that first, make sure AS2004.5 is properly setup for permissions...Does that help?Best,

Cheers for the help but I already checked the firewall and antivirus settings and they were not the problem. I am connecting through a router but not using any proxy but this was also something I checked already. In the end it must have been a problem somewhere in the windows system because a system restore got the module working properly again... also removed several program updates that I'll have to re-install but that's the joy of Win XP!Thanks again!Geoff
