Adam your settings should actually be combined there, not one section at the top and one at the bottom. Not sure if that will do any harm but just to be safe...Hope it is working for you now! Please move this topic over to the ActiveSky forum for further discussion of this... Damain, I changed the Fmax.ini as suggested. I haven't put the FSMeteo lines together yet.It doesn't want to comply even with the new settings. It will allow me to keep a check mark next to FSMeteo in the FMAX menu, but it will not hold a check mark next to "manage FSMeteo". I'm guessing that means that function is inoperable at this time. I'm sure this will all be resolved when the new version of FMax is released next week.Is there a way to carry this over to the Active sky site? I don't know how to do this link thingy...unless you mean you just want me to make a new post outlining what's happened here. Thanks, "Do you ever sleep"? ;) I seem to recall this somewhere.Your help is greatly appreciated and I think you ought start ignoring my posts as you are likely extremely busy.

Hi Adam,The Manage item doesn't need to be checked. All should be working now that you have the Enabled check...Now just go somewhere rainy and refresh in wxRE, it should start showing within 5 minutes on FSFlightMax (give it time to load in the new file). Thanks! BTW Just start a new thread in ActiveSky Forum and we can continue it there.. thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table

Abent: I got it to work on my setup. You don't have to use the FSFM manage feature. I also don't have the path identified in the .ini file. Mine says 0. What I do have is the FSFM option checked in Active Sky, and the path in Active Sky noted for the location of the offline files. Hope this helps. Kaydub

Abent: Right after I wrote this, I found out my weather returns were not accurate. I was flying in a shadow of clear weather, (about 20 nautical miles), and my radar showed large returns. I found that you do have to use the configuration editor and specify Flightmax to get it to work. Sorry if I led you astray. Keith

Hi Keith,No problem, I can easily be led astray ;) but I wasn't in this case. Some success has been actualized. With the help of Damian, Ed Van Knapp, and a few others I managed to get radar returns. The paths in both programs have to be C:Program FilesActiveSky wxRE as explained by Damian, Ed and John among others. It still wasn't quite working until Ed suggested that I go to world/weather in FS while the sim is running, naturally. The weather from ActiveSky is loaded and displayed on the FS weather screen. Then press "OK" and when you return to the sim, you will have radar returns. However, I discovered while flying tonight that as I climbed well out of the rain, the wx Radar was still showing returns. They eventually disappeared from the screen. I decided to descend back into the cloud/percip to see if I would get the returns. I did but I was flying in heavy rain for a couple minutes before the returns returned :( . It seems that it takes a while for the data to be loaded into FlightMax. I expected to see returns well before I hit percipitation. Anyway, I'm certainly not complaining, as it is good to have returns at all.Maybe this will be addressed in the upcoming release of FlightMax 1.4Hope this helps. And sorry for being so long-winded.Adam
