FS2002 STD vs FS2002 PRO

First, thanks a heck of a lot for this site. I use it constantly to help curb my addiction to flight simming! May I suggest that you make it mandatory that all who upload files state whether the file is for the standard edition or pro edition of FS2002. It is a bit frustrating to d/l a file, install it, and then find out that it is for the FS2002 Pro edition only. To help in this, might it be a good idea to add a new category that differentiates betweent he STD and Pro editions?Thanks.

Hey EALPILOT,I agree with you on AVSIM - some guys doing some VERY hard work here!Fortunately, there are very few files that won't actually work in FS2002 standard. If the author doesn't put the FS2002 Standard incompatibility in the file description he/she deserves a hand slap!Don't let it put you enjoying the thousands of wonderful files available here.

Making ANYTHING mandatory for volunteers and freeware developers is a stretch already.... enforcing it is impossible. That's similar with pictures for instance. It is so much easier if a thumbnail picture is provided with a product.... but do we refuse uploads without them and reprieve you of it?? Apart from that, it would require an enormous staff to check the content of all uploaded files, readme's and pictures. We have a very thorough library staff of only a few people here, and they are doing a great job.
