Vas Points

Recommended Posts

Guest IW01

i amusing ASV with the update and find that the VAS points generated are extremely strong. They are enough to "blow" a heavy jet right off an approach. From a few thousand feet to ground they seem a bit over done and unrealistic so I've turned them off. I have left the Enable Vertical Air Simulation "On ". Will that still give some turbulence at higher altitudes?

It was not wake turbulence. It has happened a number of times now and each time there have been no aircraft near mine and each time when I looked in the reporting panel of ASV it said something like "generated vas point". I assume the vas point would be what I experienced. Each occurrence has been at lower altitudes such as 3000' and below but definately no other aircraft to cause WT.

Hi,Thanks for that! Are you running Build 325? That was one of the fixes! Please let us know because there have been a few other reports of this, and we are trying to get a handle on this.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

Yes it is Build 325.I'd like to see what happened to a Cessna 172 or the like if it hit the turbulence I have encountered in larger aircraft..!!!Have you given thought to changing VAS point settings to be variable?

Hi I'm also using ASV Build 325 and have the same problem. The Vas points are too strong at 40%. I have them turned back to 10% and now I can do a normal landing.Otherwise ASV is a great product. Thank you all.Willy

Hi All,There has been the discussion to make the VAS strength user defined. I don't know if that is possible. Please remember that the VAS % affects their frequency, not their strength. Thanks everyone!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
