Hi Arthur,ASV turbulence is a bit stronger especially with VAS. We are testing SU3 which has the option of adjusting the VAS strength.Yes, awhile back people were adjusting that value to get stronger turbulence into FS. You can reduce this number to lower turb.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

I would love an option to adjust it, something just doesn't seem right when a 747 is thrown around like a little cessna

HiI guess the above user is talking about the vas, i suppose he can make it less frequent as of now?As far as getting more turbulence for my 747 what is a more realistic number for the fs9 cfg entry? default is 1.0 should i leave it at that or should i increase it. Although i know a 747 won't jump around as much in turbulent wx you definately feel it more and does feel more severe considering the size of the aircraft getting into unstable air. I personally don't find much turbulence in fs9. VAS does help but it wasn't really meant for turbulence was it?Thanks!

I have been flying some light GA aircraft lately and I've noticed some strong turbulence during these flights. Two questions:1) how does AS2004.5 generate turbulence and is this different in ASV?2) (not AS related) What is the value for the TurbulenceScale entry in the fs9.cfg? I have TurbulenceScale=1.000000 but can remember reading somewhere to bring it down to 0.2. Does this have any effect on AS?Thanks!

Hi Joe,Yes, but in another thread users have asked for the VAS strength to be adjustable and we are close to that.Try 1.5 and locate a big old t'storm. No, up and down drafts. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
