April 3, 200620 yr Sorry about the topic if it was an issue...Here is one thing I want to clear once and for all. Its very cloudy here in KORF today with some Thunder Storms. I cranked up the FS and the vis was poor as its here, but there werent many clouds as I actually saw. Also once I went up to 10K all the vis was back to normal 49miles. Is this FS or ASV?Alex
April 3, 200620 yr Hi Alex,It was not the topic just the way it was expressed! Voicing your joys is great, but AVSIM is an open, family forum and we all know what those letter stand for. We just try to run a clean operation, that's all.Two things are at work here: first, you may have had blending of the weather from nearby stations, hence the lower number of clouds.Second, the visibility issue is in FS04 and the only work around is to limit the maximum visibility to a low number. We all hope that FSX is improved in this area!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
April 3, 200620 yr So after 10K no matter how bad the vis. is its going to get clear, unless I set the vis. to lets say 29 or so.... Now the bleeding, because if I have lots of clouds then I dont care about the viss and they will cover it up nicely...How do I fix the station bleeding?Alex
April 3, 200620 yr Hi,1. Correct.2. No, blending, a mixture of weather from nearby stations. It is something you want to have. I know you could use the wx Configurator and set the weather to be the same at all stations. If one station is reporting OVC and another is reporting something else and you are between stations you are going to get a mix of clouds. Also, make sure that in FS04 3D clouds is at 100% and Cloud Coverage is set to maximum.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
