Need to clear wx and refresh after RadarContact saved flt resumption

Featured Replies

Hi Jim and Damian,as an old user of wxRE/ActiveSky I may say that this program grew up to be one of the most important in my simming experience.I've noticed just one little annoyance: when resuming a saved flight with RadarContact V4 (which saves a .wx file, a situation file for itself and FS situation file), I have to clear wx thru FSUIPC then refresh to get accurate wx depiction. If I just hit refresh (to get continuing wx updates-always offline, obviously), I'll get incorrect winds aloft (ASV will depict at altitude the surface wind at nearest station). Any idea to avoid this "double refresh" ?Thanks !EnricoPS: order in which I activate the programs is:1-ASV: enable wx file, process relevant route, paused till refreshed2-FS9: load aircraft3-RCv4: import saved fltAt this point the "live" wx is the one from the wx file saved by RC. If I just hit refersh, I'll get incorrect winds aloft.

Hi Enrico,I think leaving ASv6 paused until RC is loaded w/ saved flight would be the best bet. This should give a proper clear/refresh sequence when unpaused. Unless there is a way to prevent loading saved wx with RC4?Best,

Hi Damian,I do leave ASV6 paused till RC has loaded its saved flight. Then I push the "refresh" button and I end up in clearing wx via FSUIPC and refreshing again to avoid getting surface winds at altitude. I don't think there's a way to prevent loading wx from RC4.Anyway, this is just a minor annoyance, not a problem at all.
