Have GE Ver1.04 with Korbygen on FS PC , want to upgrade

Recommended Posts

Guest GW Norris

Hello Jim or DamienI have ASV6 on my widefs client and GE ver1.04 with Korbygen on my FS PC. I want to upgrade to GE Pro, but put it on my widefs client as recommended. My question is, The GE website from the link provided says that existing GE users can get the upgrade for $19.95. However if I go to upgrade and am on the widefs machine, it won't be able to see an existing version of GE when I go to install it if I purchase the upgrade version. Also should I uninstall the version of GE that is currently on my FS PC?Pretty confusing post I know. Thanks in advance

Hi Gary,Thanks for wanting to upgrade to GE Pro! I am really not sure on the Upgrade process for GE users so I can suggest a post at the Flight1 forum on that. Here is a general link: http://www.simforums.com/forums/default.aspI do know that GE Pro can be installed on either machine for the new integration to work.Keep GE installed until GE Pro is installed. Then ask about uninstallation. I am not sure and don't want to mislead you.Let us know if you need more help with this!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Jim,Trying to quickly get up to speed with GE-Pro this evening and getting ready purchase and install it. From an AS point of view, what is the prefered WideFS installation location of GE-Pro, on the FS9 PC or on the WideClient PC? Thanks...UPDATE: Never mind, I see where Damien already answered this very question in another thread. It appears that its prefered on the wideclient so AS can autolaunch GEPro.

JimWell, that was no help. can't use their forum anymore. It won't except my password anymore, and to reregister I have to enable cookies and that won't even work, still can't see their security code info you need to register for the forum.I found the answer to my question regarding the purchase price to existing users of GE, just need my proof of purchase #. However there is not enough information regarding the versions when you buy and also there is a download link on their website that opens to a download for version 2.11 without even purchasing, yet there is a Buy now button.Just not enough information as to what to do if your putting a fresh install on a widefs client and what file version to download or purchase.Really wanted this to work but I guess I'll just wait till an answer surfaces somewhere in this forum, No info regarding different scenarios on their website. Thanks anyway
