Hi Chris,Officially you should wait until we release ASv6.5.Unofficially, you can use the new version of FSUIPC for FSX and ASv6 together. There are features that will not work such as ASG and Active Radar, AND you may need to edit your ASv6.ini file to point to FSX. I know of 2 users who have done this, but one was a WideFS user. I have not tried any of this even with the beta builds of FSX.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi Allen,None of ASG will work and some of the weather features will work. We are working real hard to get ASv6.5 worked out and into the FSXes of our users. We all need to be patient, as the retail version was just in our hands a few days ago.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

According to Pete Dowson, the present version of FSUIPC will not work with the *retail* version of FSX. It is specifically designed to work with the Beta. The new version of FSUIPC for the retail version of FSX is expected to be released late next week (around 10/13/06).This means, if you want to run ASV with FSX retail, you will have to put up with stock Jepp weather, with its poor coverage, for a few days here. :)RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc.

>Thanks Mace! >>I really have not had the time to look into this and my retail>copy is not here yet.>I sure hope FSUIPC4 for FSX retail comes out soon. I've been flying the retail for a week now...AND WITH NO ACTIVESKY! arrgh. I am having withdrawals as I type...One question...you may not know yet...but do you know if the ASV6 weather will display in the FSX weather map display window?I kind of like that feature in FSX...it shows a weather map like it did in FS9, but it shows more detail--the weather at each station. Basically a more detailed weather map.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc.

Hi All,Not sure about the Weather Map details in FSX. That will need to wait until I get home tonight. I believe it does because once the wether data is in FSX it can use it just as it uses it's own downloaded weather.AR is a different issue and we will all need to wait and see what the future holds for that. Right now we do know that AR will not work with FSX.I'll return to this later,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

>I'd still prefer to use Active Radar in FSX.WEll, what I am describing is not Active Radar. Active Radar is fine for a radar image. But I'm talking about the wx screen in FSX. RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc.
