Hi,Sorry for the problem. Are you forcing any weather on the AS Options page?Another thing to try is to reset FSUIPC to Default settings and Weather Settings Off.Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi Jim,Attached the ASv6.ini.Must have been a one time (until now) occurrence, because it's ok now.I'll get back to you, if it happens again.

Jim,Let me know what you need to know to solve the problem. It seems that almost all stations are involved, but specially the ones at high altitudes, like Santa Fe or Bogota.

Hi Frank,The clue could be in the FS Bar that FSwide is waiting for clients. Are you sure that AS, FSWide and FSUIPC are communicating well?If you move around in FS does AS recognize your new positions? Is it just the winds that are off, but other data as well?So this could be a networking problem.Something else you may wish to do is update AS to B533.Please let us know.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Jim,AS runs on the same computer as FS, the WideFs is for RCv4.I don't know about other data, only thing I can see is the wind.Well...., rain and snow is OK. Clouds are difficult to tell, they all look the same. :D As far as I can tell, v6.5 is for FSX, which I don't use.Can you reproduce it on your PC?I noticed that FSMeteo shows the same behavior, so I think that FS2004 is obstructing with 3rd party weather software, the FS weather is OK. So is VATSIM and IVAO weather.Looks like FS is storing some weather data somewhere, that are not refreshed by AS and FSMeteo.

Hi Frank,Here is what I found:Went to KSAF. The weather data was correct, but the display in FS was wrong. ATIS was correct and FSUIPC was correct. Upper winds were correct.Went to Bogota. Everything was correct, even upper winds.Went back to KSAF and the everything was correct. At this point I don't know waht else to say!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Jim,I thought so too. Point is, that FS weather seems to update the FS display and ASv6 or FSMeteo not. However, all FMC's read the data as displayed.HiFiSim might want to look for a way to update the FS display in accordance with the AS weather.

Hi FrankMaybe I'am wrong but I think the following. The winds are different on ground or in the air.So, FS is showing the wind at the altitude you are with your aircraft. In your case, you are flying at Alt 6351 ft - FS gives you wind 316/09 and AS gives you wind at FL060 314/12 (that's good). The wind in AS on the right 360/0 is the decoded wind on the ground at the weather-station KSAF.Willy

But Willy, He's not flying, He's sitting on the runway. One thing I don't understand is why is ASv6 showing winds aloft info for FL030 and FL060 for Santa Fe? Santa Fe is at over 6,000' elevation. There should be no winds aloft info for those flight levels for Santa Fe. Is it interpolating those figures since it must display them anway? Sorry to butt in here but I'm brand new to ASv6 and having some similar problems myself and just trying to get a handle on how things work. One thing I wonder is, Frank, How long have you been sitting on the runway in those shots? I find that it takes a good 5 minutes before all the different parts of the weather gets loaded on my system.Cheers...............Smokin256

Hi,Ground winds are always reported from the METAR data and winds aloft report winds at 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 30, 34, 39K.I could duplicate this once, but that was it.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi,I was thinking the same: maybe FS shows and uses the winds aloft, but that was not the case: the winds aloft are also very different.I was sitting on the runway several times before taking the snapshot, each for about 20 minutes. What bugs me, is that all aircraft FMC's use the wrong data, fortunately FSNavigator is picking up the right data. Strange thing is, that FS weather and on-line flying (VATSIM or IVAO) is showing the correct data.Well, whatever is causing it, we all agree that this is an error, which should be corrected. I hope to see an update soon.

Hi Frank,Besides this one airport where else does this happen? Also remember that we cannot tap into the display machine of FS. Once that data is correctly entered into FS we lose control over it.Thanks, Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Jim,Thanks for looking into it.It happens with every airport over 1500 ft. Sometimes more, sometimes less.Plus: it looks to me like FS and VATSIM and IVAO do find the right way to display current winds! In the end, since I do most flying on-line, I use ASv6 most for off-line training flights, so this error doesn't affect my FS experience.
