I was another unhappy victim last night of the "you have to install microsoft Net 2.0 before SP1 in order for simconnect to work issue." Was this requirement stated by Microsoft anywhere and I missed it?I never installed Net 2.0 until I read the readme in ASX because it was an optional download on the windows update site and I never saw it being required for any other flightsim software. I realize this is not Hifisims fault, but for the benefit of your future customers, I suggest that you add to the ASX installation readme the requirement and corrective instructions to install Net 2.0 before SP1 for simconnect to work. This could save others from having to search the forums to get the software working. When I finally got ASX working it looked fabulous. Much better than my expectations. Congratulations guys.Is it only SP1 that required NET 2.0, or do I need to uninstall/reinstall FSX also? One last thing on this issue. I currently have the following folders and files on my hardrive:C:windowsassembly folder I have microsoft.flightsim.simconnect 10.0.61242.0 file version 10.0.61355.0C:windowswnsxsmicrosoft.flightsim.simconnect10.0.61242.0 folder I have simconnect.dll version 10.0.61355.0C:windowswnsxsmicrosoft.flightsim.simconnect 10.0.60905.0 folder with simconnect.dll version 10.0.60905.0 Is this correct?Everything seems to be working OK but it was late when I started my test flight and I felt like a tired freight dog pilot. Looked great, I hope I wasn't asleep at the yoke and dreaming. Thanks,Ted

Jim,I'm still a little unclear on one thing. When simconnect wouldn't connect I saw a post on this forum to uninstall SP1, install Net 2.0, and then reinstall SP1. I did that and everything seems to be working fine.Later I saw other posts that said to delete simconnect files in the c:windowswnxs folder as an interim step. I didn't do this.I have the files listed above currently installed. Do I need to delete some of them? Should I uninstall and reinstall SP1 again, this time deleting all the simconnect files, or is it fine as is?Thanks,Ted
