ASX Thunderstorms issue

Hi guys,I hardly get any well formed thunderstorms in FS, for the past couple of days I wanted to fly in some heavy weather so I used the internet to find out where Thunderstorms were forming.Today I found that near border of Texas and Oklahoma just right of the Panhandle some strong storms were active. So I started a flight at Frederick (Oklahoma). At Groundlevel it looked alright, I got a overcast layer with rain and thunder. but I wanted to see how the CB would look from the air so I took off to take a look. But there was nothing like a CB to be seen!! I checked the Xgauge weathermap to see if the cell would be somewhere around KFDR, but it was right in front of me, atleast that is what the weathermap was showing. Then I checked ASX to see the build up of the cloud layers, and surprisingly this is what I found:At 2000ft a layer of broken Cumulonimbus thickness of 15000ft which is only 4,6 KM and seems a little small for a thunderstorm especially since the METAR stated +TSRA.Then at 9000ft there was a layer of overcast cumulus, thickness 8000ft.And finally at 19000ft there was another layer of broken cumulus, thickness 16000ft. (which is even higher and thicker then the TSTM layer!!)Those three layers made me end up with the picture in the screenshot below which really doesn't look like a severe thunderstorm. To me it seems as the Cumulonimbus layer should at least stretch up to 35000ft as that is where the third layer ends.I have seen this a couple of times before and my question is can there be some sort of option to force TSTMS to extend to atleast FL280 before the even start spawning lightning? Cause I have seen several ocasions where lightning is spawning from CB's that are hardly 10000ft in thickness.Or an option where you can force thunderstorms to extend to atleast FL280 when they are reported in the METAR.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/173180.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/173181.jpg :-waveshocky :-hahhttp://img7.exs.cx/img7/5379/Banner21.jpg

I guess Im the only one experiencing this :-( Any idea what might be wrong?BTW I also noticed that there are no Cumulonimbus textures in FSX, does that mean that a CB is formed by using Cumulus textures? :-waveshocky :-hah

Hello,This particular depiction agreed does not look ideal. Based on the information you provided on the heights I can identify which ASX representation model was selected and target this for improvement. FWIW ASX uses multiple "models" for tstorm representation and I'm sure you'll find the others are much more suitable. They are randomly chosen. As for textures, no, there are no CB textures persay. CB are rendered based upon other means but yes it uses the base cumulus texture.Best,
