FSX flight plan imports

Recommended Posts

Guest robpol

Hi All, This is probably something I'm doing wrong or misunderstanding, but when I create an FSX flight plan and add additional waypoints to it, I do not see the additional waypoints in the flight plan in ActiveSkyX. Instead I just see the start and end points with a straight line joining them. If you go to the link below you will see a link (bottom right) to a flight plan that exhibits this kind of behaviour. http://www.astroccd.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/FSX.htmThanksRobP

>Hi Rob,>>Thanks for the report. We are working on this for SP1.>>Thanks,>Jim>>http://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpg>http://www.hifisim.com/Jim, there's another problem with importing flight plans: ASX finds the folder with FSX flight plans NP, but can't read them, returning the following error Briefing > Import > Process:"Please choose a proper Departure ICAO ID"I tried quite a few of them but got always the same error. I'm on Windows XP SP2, Server & Client. Please look into it.Thanks.

Thanks, Jim. Did you try it from Client to the Host (FSX)? Where can I find the info how to uninstall properly?

Hi,Not sure what you mean by client to host. I had your plans on my desktop and imported them into ASX and processed them! I don't use ASX over a network as I have a dual monitor set up.To uninstall just use the Add/Remove Programs part of the Control Panel in Windows.Let me know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

The program doesn't want/can't read PLN files over netwrok. As I mentioned my ASX is installed on Client and FSX on the Host, of course. Will reinstall it and report. Anyone else is running ASX on Client PC and reading PLN on the main FSX PC ok?Thanks.

I've just reinstalled ASX on Client1 and even installed on another client (Client2). The import/reading of PLN files works OK there. It means there's something in my OS on Client1, that prevents ASX from reading PLNs on the Host. .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 is installed, I think I'm in good control of my OS. There's nothing I can think of atm, perhaps some file association or another program gets in the way of reading. Any ideas? Thanks.PS: really don't want to reinstall the OS.

Jim,Has it already been reported about importing the alternate airport location? When I import a plan that was orginially created in FSBuild2, the alternate box is empty and I can not manually enter the alternate ICAO eithier. Hopefully this is fixed in SP1 as well.

FSX and XP are in french version.Intel Core 2 Duo 6750 2.66 + 4 Go RAM + GeForce 8800 GTS with the latest Nvidia Driver.I cannot import any flightplan made with FSX planner or with FSC 8.When I choose the flightplan, the departure, destination and alternate fields become grey, I have 0 and 0 for the Cruise level and the speed, and I cannot manually enter a departure a destination or an alternate.
