AS6, FSUIPC and Visibility

Recommended Posts

Guest nat2005

Evening all,To cut a long story short, i accidently clicked the "Normal Defaults" button in FSUIPC (registered V3.60) when intending to press the "clear all weather" button which is just below it :-( - Ive managed to get back all my original settings apart from the visibility settings, which i cant remember what they were. The main problem at the moment is: No matter what altitude im at if the current station that AS is retreiving its weather from reports the visibility to be anything different from 9999 - the visibility up at my altitude will drop to the reported visibility, so at times when it reports 2000 say i can't see anything.Cheers,Nat

Hi Jim, thanks for the reply,I do want the reported visibility, but just not up at 39000ft. Up at that altitude, like in real life, the visibility is always around the 9999 margin, dispite what is reported at the closest airport.Hope it makes some sense,Cheers,Nat

Unless this has changed there are two options in ASv6 that might do something like that. I'm not sure which one, both are in Visibility and they have to do with Fog and Haze. Both mine are checked, but I remember turning one of those off created what you see.
