Tarmac texture question

Hi guys - Most of the time when I start a flight w/o a flightplan, I click report, enter the airport ID and click install graphics. A few times I've gotten a dark tarmac texture that shimmers badly like the old FS9 with bad mip settings. I've gone into XG and selected a different texture to use but for some reason when I do the steps above the shimmery one occasionally gets installed.I have no problems with mip settings ie no shimmers anywhere but on the tarmac.Is there a way to force ASX not to use that texture and secondarily why is it shimmering?Thanx,VicVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/

Hi, To disable texture categorie not to install in fsx, go to option, advanced option and uncheck the texture not wanted to be installed in fsx.secondarily why is it shimmering?shimmering during rain or normal condition and can you target which one do this ?ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg
