I just got 6.5 .. perfect install! The only points I am not clear on is Starting, Loading and SubmittingActive Sky Graphics ... and its options menu selections, to avoid problems when using AS6.5 with MSFSX. Used it in FS9 and pressed the AS graphics button to "load" it into FS9 ........ Worked great!Tried AS6.5 with MSFSXAS6.5 started okNow without pressing the AS graphics button to LOAD it into FS .. because I read it is not supported in FSX ... I noticed in the task bar (lower right of screen) there was an AS graphics ICON. This was the first time I actually noticed the icon. So, just loading AS6.5 also starts ASG?Is this normal? Is there an option item to prevent ASG from starting prior to starting MSFSX?Did it mess up anything in FSX?Basicall, how to set up AS 6.5 so I control starting ASG so as to never cause a problem with FSX?A little confused on the terms.for example ASG "submit", does it = LOAD it (Button on AS menu screen)

Hi,Thanks for the purchase!!Most of these answers are on the ASG Options screen. First, at the top is your path to FS04 and you cannot point to FSX on that line so FSX is safe!Next, you can uncheck the Keep ASG running on auto-submit box. That will remove the icon.Submit always means sending textures to FS04.I hope this help you. Ask more if you need to.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

OK,Thanks for the information.I wanted to know for sure ... make darn sure, I was not doing anyting that will cause problems with MSFSX.You did a fine job with ActiveSky 6.5!Added bonus, I actually increased a frame (FPS) or two FS9 and FSX!Just wondered, while reading up on ASG. Why, when 6.5 initially connectes to FSX, it does not just "block" ASG at that time. Like gray out the button or make the button inactive ... whatever it is in software so a user error could not happen.

Hi,Thanks! I know you have been waiting for awhile!!Because we connect using FSUIPC in both cases and AS cannot "tell" which FS version you are running. Hence the path restriction built into the ASG Options screen. Point ASG to FSX and you will get an error message!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
