Problem with ASX

Recommended Posts

Guest HandsB

I have custom ai traffic, not the default one enbled, could that be why it doesn't show in the ai traffic test ?and I can't imagine what might be blocking, I don't have firewall, AV is disabled on both computers and port TCP and UDP are opened on both windows firewalls.I'm connecting both pc's through a hub, does that make any difference ?I did a reinstall of the game, and it's a bit better now, I choose rain and it rains for a while, but always in a small radius, if I increase the application range, nothing happens, and game stutters every 20 seconds or so, as if trying to load something. Also, clouds and fog seem to working ok, only precipitation is giving problems.I've noticed also that in ASX the Depiction output is not always active anymore, although its still a lot.The only app I couldn't reinstall is NET Framework 2, Windows doesn't let me uninstall it. I think the problem must be related either with NET Framework or simconnect, how can I check this, any idea ?regardsBruno

nope, not working yet :(The Ai test gave a dozen AI objects added and removed, is this how it should be ? I'm at LPPTDepiction output seems normal now, it only activates once in a while for a few seconds.Even if I choose rain in FSX's custom weather, it'll only rain for a few seconds and when ASX is loaded it stops, and rain is also chosen in ASX, so I guess that if it is a problem of communication, it should at least rain for a few seconds once asx was loaded, or am I thinking wrong?Jim, I don't understand how is it that this is related to a connection problem if everything seems to be working like it shouldThe SimConn Diag Output seems to be ok also, if I shut down ASX the second I do it, it shows in the SimConn Diag Output on server machine, in the game I get ASX's message saying its loading and that its been loaded, so how come I can't get custom weather ?If ports are opened in both pc's, no firewalls but window's and both are deactivated, AV (Avast) disabled on both machines, I don't understand what else could be stopping the connection, unless some network controller configuration maybe. I also have Copilot pro installed on client, but only use it to see maps and check flightplans, no more addons.this is a part of the report I get in SimConn Diag Output debug, maybe you can figure something out of it0.00000 SimConnect version 10.0.61242.00.32241 Panels data export found and set to 20A819B82.30967 DLL Loaded: Path="ModulesFSUIPC4.dll" Version="4.1.1.6"> 37.52839 [63, 1]Open: Done that and it seems to be working ok, went to vienna and the weather is clear as it states in the METAR, then changed to EGAE Eglinton UK where it is raining heavily according to the Metar and it is ok, but when I went through different stations during this flight where it is not raining according to map in ASX, weather in game did not change and rain didn't stop. Lock to nearest station is selected btw :(So I assume something got stuck along the way between output depictions.Bruno

Hi, the dynamic rate is at 5 %. I did a flight where i took off with rain, that was right but as soon as I took off rain stopped and it shouldn't have had according to the map, but during flight I saw weather variations which I presume were being done by ASX, clouds mainly, but then i chose rain in wx for the last 2 stations before landing nothing happened. looks like wx is getting stuck somewhere.regards Bruno

Hi,Rain only falls for a certain altitude. Once above that, the rain stops.Edit: Remember also that what you see on the map are just fixed symbols for weather conditions and not actual distances. That is not a RADAR map, but a weather symbol map. So it is possible to be in a rain symbol and not see it raining in FSX.How did you choose rain for the last 2 stations?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Ok, I'll check that I've noticed that an exception 3 is appearing in the simconnect diag ouotput window when it starts, can you tell me what that means "exception 3", and if it could also be related with any other addon.RegardsBruno
