ASX: Metars on briefing page

Recommended Posts

On the briefing page I get the following textual briefing:Departure (SPHY): SPHY 261400Z 00000KT 9000 BKN035 07/03 Q1023 RMK PP000 RMK INTERPOLATED*Enroute:ASI:203D 261600Z 30006KT 9999 SCT025 23/17 Q1016 NOSIG PP000 RMK INTERPOLATEDSPIM 051013Z 051212 17007KT 9999 FEW008 OVC020 TX25/20Z TN21/10Z TEMPO 1213 17005KT 9999 SCT007 OVC017 BECMG 1416 18009KT 9999 BKN020 BECMG 1719 18010KT 9999 SCT025 BKN030 TEMPO 1023 CAVOK BECMG 0002 16010KT 9999 SCT008 BKN020 BECMG 0507 16006KT 9999 BKN015 SCT100 TEMPO 0912 9999 SCT008 OVC015Destination (SPIM): 204F 261600Z 30006KT 9999 SCT025 23/17 Q1016 NOSIG PP000 RMK INTERPOLATEDSPIM 051013Z 051212 17007KT 9999 FEW008 OVC020 TX25/20Z TN21/10Z TEMPO 1213 17005KT 9999 SCT007 OVC017 BECMG 1416 18009KT 9999 BKN020 BECMG 1719 18010KT 9999 SCT025 BKN030 TEMPO 1023 CAVOK BECMG 0002 16010KT 9999 SCT008 BKN020 BECMG 0507 16006KT 9999 BKN015 SCT100 TEMPO 0912 9999 SCT008 OVC015.....What I've done is:1. Download the weather 05.01.07 at 17.00 GMT2. Opened the downloaded weather file3. Loaded the flight plan4. Processed the flight planSo what I don't understand is why the timestamp e.g. at departure metar shows 261600Z. Are the steps above correct and should the metar timestamp not be 05xxxx? No 'Force to...' are selected.Wolfgang

Hi,A strange one. Are you sure that ASX was done processing the downloaded weather? Are you sure you opened the saved weather file and not the current weather file? Just throwing out some ideas. Please try another file and see what happens. I will do the same.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Ok, reinstalled XG and ASX&SP1 but get the same strong metars. After playing around with ASX I found that the metars on the briefing page are identical to those in the current_wx_snapshot.txt file. Then I tried some test with the following results:Download weather 01.08.07 20:00 -> EGLL timestamp was 011950Loaded weather 01.02.07 10:00 -> EGLL timestamp was 030950Loaded previously downloaded weather 01.08.07 20:00 -> EGLL timestamp was also 030950!Any further ideas?Wolfgang
