Need Help Badly...

My ASX was not starting for some reason. I tried the repair but it still did not start, so I removed it with hopes of a reinstall would correct it. Hi Robert,Go into your Windows directory and open the Installer folder. Look for a file called asx.msi and delete it. Then try a reinstall.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Hi Jim, thanks for the come back. :)I found a folder in my windows directory called " Downloaded Installation " I also found a folder with a Windows Installer-paket 46,819kb called Acrive Sky X.msi with it. I think this is the file you are talking about. I removed the file and tried the install again, but the same problem accured. I did a search for the file and nothing came up in the search, so it seems it is gone. Back to square one. I gotta tell Jim I have searched and searched and nothing. Maybe you can give me a word to search for to find it. BTW: I gave XGraphics a try and it would not open. Seems something went major fubur. System32 folder: I did not find any folder or file called Installer or asx.msi :(any other step to solving this headache ?Would a new installer help? Looks like I am getting the exact same error.Tried to uninstall both active sky and the graffics, but it will not reinstall.Getting the message. Xgaugewizzard has encountered a problem and needs to close.I can`t find this asx,msi file neitherYesterday I bought and ran "registry mechanics". Dont know it that might have caused the problem. No other programs are causing trouble.Jen
