Low quality weather voice

The female weather voice sounds very scratchy and cheap as if a bad microphone was used. Did I miss a configuration setting to get a better quality voice - or is that normal?Robert

The weather voice sounds as if the microphone used for recording was very cheap or the speaker was too near to the microphone causing peaks over recording level accompanied with voice shattering as an effect.That wouldn't depend on hardware settings and you should be able to verify that with your equipment.All my other simulator environment sounds are normal.Robert

Hi Robert,I played some of the individual files and I hear what you mean. I remember some of this is on purpose as we are trying to mirror some of the real world ATC static sounds, though some may say we have over done the effect. Well Jim...I am glad to hear it is not my equipment causing this effect!But because of the recording distortion the voice is bothering to listen to. It gives you the impression that it is not an announcement from a official person - but rather more like a cheap CB communication link.Just give the voice a better recording quality and everthing is fine.ThanksRobert
