No "Download" Button on Library Items?

Recommended Posts

Is it just me, or are others seeing this too? I go search for a file, the search turns up the required file, but no means to download it as the "download" button appears to be gone or missing.Thanks,Bruce.

Hmm, I suggested the AVSIM folks here that they should write up a separate topic on this issue, but they haven't yet. Not yelling at them though... :)In any case it's most likely an ad-blocker, such as Norton Internet Security. I've seen many guys have this problem. Simply turning the ab-blocker part /program off, should help. It might be needed to shut down the whole program, but do not try that in the first case (and also do not forget to turn it back on if so...).Regards,Dave

Hi Denis,I feel exactly the same way as you do about this. I have no issues at all with the advertising at AVSIM.I had played around with the spam filter in Outlook (now, I hate e-mail spam). Then, feeling very proud about attempting (feeble :) ) to clean my computer against unwanted junk, I also activated the anti-popup feature in Norton Firewall, thinking all I was doing was to stop those residual (usually porno)pop-ups that some sites (not here) leave behind. It appeared to have the unwanted effect of preventing the library download buttons from showing, however.Since I can live with pop-ups, I've reset the firewall setting. Still fighting spam, however.I also think of AVSIM as my daily newspaper, they do a great job! Thanks,Bruce.
