Same problem here on flights in Switzerland and Germany, METAR from last week. Clouds pop in and out of view.

hello, i have noticed similar issues, with clouds popping a bit, at first it seemed like maybe related to asx updating the weather info but i can't say i exhaustively studied it yet. a few days ago i went flying over the supercells that had formed over the midwest in the usa and saw them pop from big cumulus structures into big areas of emptiness surrounded by the more panoramic stratus/cirrus clouds in the area. it seemed like the facing affected it more than the range so i thought perhaps it was visibility related. the shots above where the big cumulus chunk just goes away as you get on top of it are very similar. i didn't think to take screenshots at the time, (i just assumed it was normal, but happened on this forum today looking about some xpax things) ..will try some of the above mentioned settings and also collect some data the next time i notice it happening. i kind of see it alot, in terms of just clouds kind of popping quickly from one group to another, i had the dynamic rate to 80 though lol. still looks really lovely!cheers,-andy crosby

Hi,After uninstalling, reinstalling and testing many times, I noticed that ASX works better (few sudden clouds disappearing and reappearing) when : - the version of FSX is SP1- the version of ASX is SP1- there's no add on on FSX except ASX (no MyTraffic, no FSGlobal). The conclusion is the more you want ASX works correctly the more you lose the benefits of recent software releases. I'm really disapointed because ASX is really a good product but for the moment I choose the weather included in FSX SP2.Regardsbhdo
