HiWhenever I load X Pax FSX crashes with msvcrt.dll error. If I minimize FSX to start Xpax,When i bring FSX back up it freezes and then crashes generating the send problem to Microsoft message. This happens everytime, but works fine with FS9.I have FSX service pack 1 installed and also the hotfix for Xpax.Dont know whats happenning here, but FSX is plagued by this msvcrt.dll error since service pack 1 and unfortunately not many addons work without it installed.Looks like im gonna have to stick with FS9 when using XPax.Thank goodness I kept it on my computer when I bought FSX!!In my opinion FSX is just too unstable to get any enjoyment out of it,90 percent of my flying is with FS9 so this isnt too much of a problem but I would like to have it working in FSX.Anyone else have this problem and is there any suggestions to fix it please? Many thanksRegardsRichard

hiJust reinstalled visual Basic from microsoft and still got the same problem. As soon as I bring the XPax page up from being minimized so it is showing on top of FSX,FSX crashes.Have you got any other suggestions please.Maybe its just my graphics card cant take the 2 programs running together as its not a top notch card [nividia 6200SE with turbocache],however I can have XPax and FS9 displaying together fine.Regards

Not quite sure what you mean by double checking install paths. What is the actual install path please? Think they must be correct as XPax works fine with FS9 and if I Minimize FSX and start XPax it says sim connected on the bottom of the XPax screen,Its when I bring FSX back on the screen it crashes.Regards

Ive found a way to get XPax running in FSX.If I load a saved flight which is sitting at an airport with brakes on then start XPax FSX crashes however if I create a new flight then start XPax FSX doesnt crash,I must also make sure that I dont toggle left, right view rear view ect. or fsx will crash when XPax is running.Ive disabled the hat switch on my joystick so I dont innadvertantly toggle a side view or I have lost my flight.Dont have a clue what is going on here,is anyone else having these problems? At least I have the 2 programs working together for the first time, although far from ideal.Any comments on this pleaseRegards

I'm having a similar problem with XPax in FSX. It seems to crash the program. I will be in the air and all of a sudden I will see what looks like big antennas sticking up everywhere. Then FSX will freeze. When I select "Escape" FSX will disappear to the desktop. If I don't start XPax I don't seem to have the problem.

Hi,Does turning off videos change the situation? We're looking into a potential memory problem in some circumstances. Do you run XPax minimized or hidden to system tray?Best,

Yes, I don't have any problem with switching from FSX to XPax. I leave XPax minimized in the tray and FSX in full screen mode. When I want to jump to XPax I select my windows key and FSX will minimize (I have it set to pause automatically) and then select XPax from the tray. When I'm done with XPax, I select the Windows key again and double click on the FSX icon in the tray and it comes up without any problems. It seems to work much better than using FSX in windows mode or trying to Alt/Tab out of it which usually results in a lock-up.My problem is that when I use XPax it seems to eventually cause some strange occurrence to the graphics within FSX, then cause FSX to lock up. When I select the Esc key, FSX will disappear completely.Next week I am going to wipe my hard-drive clean and reload Windows XP from scratch. Then I will reload all of my FSX and FS9 programs again and start reloading all of my add-ons. I will be installing a 750Gig hard-drive so I should have plenty of room.Hopefully this problem can be solved because I like using XPax alot. Even if I haven't been able to make a complete flight with it in FSX, I find I miss it when I don't use it.

I tried with it having the videos turned off but it crashed anyway. When I looked at the XPax program it showed an error at the bottom that said:Sim Error: Exception from HRESULT: 0xc000013CI don't know if this means anything to you.

Hi,That's a normal message indicated FSX/Simconnect server has stopped responding in the middle of communications.Best,
