February 11, 200818 yr Got a small problem. I had a 4-monitor setup in WinXP. 3 monitors were running as my "primary display" in XP using the Matrox TH2G. The 4th monitor was my "secondary display" under XP. I had Active Sky v.6 (FS9) defaulting to load on my 4th monitor on start-up.One of my TH2G monitors quite working (backlight went out) and I had to RMA it for repairs. So in the meantime I reconfigured my 3 remaining monitors. Problem now is when I start Active Sky, the initial "loading" screen will show up, but then it "jumps" off my monitor and disappears altogether. It is still running in the Taskbar, but there is no way to see the user-interaction screen for it anymore.XP "sometimes" uses the "Documents and SettingsUser NameApplication DataLocal Settings" folder to "store" application user.cfg files for things like screen positions for the application, etc. This is how I fixed the same type of problem for a couple other applications that were doing the same thing (delete the entries, restart the application, and it loads in it's "default" mode/location and runs on my "new" monitor setup without disappearing from the screen). However, I can't find an entry anywhere under "Documents and SettingsUser NameApplication DataLocal Settings" for Active Sky. There is a folder named "HiFiXGraphics", but it only contains the backups info. Is there a way to restore Active Sky to it's "default" user configuration settings without being able to access (see) the actual AS user interface on the screen? It appears my previous settings are causing AS to try to display in a location on a monitor that doesn't exist for me right now. I'm "thinking" I could delete the ASv6.ini file in my FS9 "ModulesASv6" folder and let ASv6 rebuild it when I restart ASv6, but not sure about this. Want to ask before I possibly hose my ASv6 install. Thanks for any info. Rick Ryan
February 11, 200818 yr Author Disregard the above. I got frisky and just renamed the .ini file, then reloaded AS6. It rebuilt a new .ini for me, and everything is OK now. Rick Ryan
